Listing Policy — What Qualifies

To be listed, your app must meet all five of these requirements:

The app itself is completely free — no purchase price, no subscription, no trial that converts to paid, no freemium wall that restricts core functionality. The user pays nothing to you to use the app.
The user enters their own API key — one they obtained and control personally, not a key you supply or resell
Use keys from a major AI provider — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Meta AI, Amazon Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, or similar large language model providers of equivalent standing
API calls go straight to the provider — no routing through aggregators, resellers, or third-party proxies of any kind
AI usage is billed directly by the provider — the user pays OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc. at token cost only; your app does not charge for, mark up, or resell that usage

The definition of free: An app is only genuinely free if the user's only cost is the tokens they consume directly with the provider. If the app requires any payment — subscription, one-time purchase, in-app upgrade, or otherwise — it does not qualify, regardless of how BYOK-friendly it is.

Not eligible: Apps that route through key aggregators such as OpenRouter, Groq, or any third-party API proxy do not qualify — even if they describe themselves as BYOK. If the API call does not go directly from the user's app to the provider, it is not true Bring Your Own Key.
